Metro Claremont SC

Metro FC (formerly Metro Claremont Football Club) is a football club formed in 1941 in the northern suburb of Claremont, Hobart, Tasmania. They play at North Chigwell Oval. It has a range of teams for all ages and genders playing in competitions run by the Football Federation Tasmania. Its teams range from under 7s right through to seniors. The teams' colours are yellow and blue.

Metro were relegated to the Southern Division 1 competition in 2008 and have placed 2nd in all but 2 seasons. In 2010 Metro narrowly missed out on promotion to the Southern Tasmanian Premier League, that point the highest league on offer in Tasmania coming second behind Beachside with only one spot for promotion on offer. Metro had a very successful 2014 season taking out the State Vase Cup and Division 1 and 2 championships getting promoted to the Southern Championship for the 2015 season.

Metro Claremont Sport Club er en australsk fodboldklub med base i Claremont, Perth, Western Australia. Klubben blev grundlagt i 1959 og spiller i National Premier Leagues Western Australia, som er den højeste fodboldrække i Western Australia.

Metros hjemmebane er Claremont Showground, som har en kapacitet på 5.000 tilskuere. Klubbens farver er navyblå og hvid, og deres kælenavn er "Natteravnene".

Metros mest succesfulde periode var i 1980'erne og 1990'erne, hvor de vandt ni National Premier Leagues Western Australia-mesterskaber. De vandt også Australian National Soccer League Cup i 1981 og 1982.

I de senere år har Metro haft en mere blandet succes. Klubben har ikke vundet et mesterskab siden 1999, men de har nået finalen i National Premier Leagues Western Australia Cup tre gange siden 2010.

Metro Claremont Sport Club er en af de mest succesrige fodboldklubber i Western Australia. Klubben har en lang historie med at producere talentfulde spillere, hvoraf nogle er gået videre til at spille for Australiens landshold.
